Why I'm Here ...

Living a Life Well-Lived

SO, I'm seeing all this blogging going on around me. People with what seems to be relatively little to say. "Hmm...," I wonder. "Do I have anything to 'say'"?

Good question.

Together, you and I shall discover the answer. :)

As I begin this venture, I'm about halfway through my 57th revolution around the sun. I'm "old" by many standards, and getting older (even though I still think of myself as delightfully young!).

I've experienced some interesting things along my journey thus far, and I'm compelled to record them here in case anyone wants to read them. Just in case. Seriously.

My beloved wife and I have no children, and hence, no grandchildren. When she and I check out and leave the planet, there will be no progeny to remember and re-tell our experiences. This isn't a complaint, just a fact. 'Tis what it 'tis.

I've been in a train wreck, almost drowned, met a U.S. President a time or two, plus done a few other interesting things. If this venture proves successful I'll share some details of my years for anyone who wishes to plod through them.

Maybe something might strike you as memorable. If so, then this will be a good thing. If not, well, at least I probably enjoyed writing this stuff. :)

Okay, there's the premise.

Let's get started!

And thank you for reading this much so far!
